The 13th annual Gender Census survey is now open! It collects information about the language we want people to use to describe and refer to us, and it's open to anyone whose gender (or lack thereof) isn't described or encompassed by the restrictive female/male binary.
The link is survey.gendercensus.com, and if you are happy to share by forwarding this email to people/groups who might be interested or by posting the URL on social media it's super helpful. Our record is about 44,000 responses in one month!

On 1st November 2026 Patreon will be switching everyone who's still on a "per creation" model to a monthly funding model. That includes us! So, if you are subscribed on Patreon, please be aware that on 1st November you will be charged monthly instead of annually. Please adjust your pledges accordingly, I don't want anyone taken by surprise.
The plan is to allow Patreon subscriptions to pile up and withdraw them once per year. If costs aren't covered by Patreon donations I will do a one-off Kickstarter-style crowdfunder to cover the rest.
